Description
Founded over 35 years ago, IVT (Industriell Värme Teknik) is a global leader in the Heat Pump market, particularly in Sweden, the UK, Europe and North America. In 2004, Bosch Thermotechnik (part of the Bosch Group) joined forces with IVT with the objective of strengthening their position in the rapidly expanding renewable energy market, as well as providing greater access to new markets for IVT Heat Pumps.
IVT has a high level of engineering expertise which is well recognised within the industry. For example, the IVT Greenline Heat Pump, which uses the available heat in surface Soil, Bedrock and Groundwater, was rated the best heat pump in Northern Europe by a leading energy agency. The two main IVT manufacturing sites are in Tranås and Katrineholm in Sweden, and IVT remains the Centre of Excellence for heat pumps within the Bosch Group.
IVT has experienced significant growth in the UK over the last decade and is now one of the leading (if not the leading) suppliers of Heat Pumps into the UK Domestic and Commercial market.
IVT has an established network of Approved Heat Pump Installer Partners, all accredited under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) and fully trained and experienced in the installation, commissioning and after sales support of IVT Heat Pump products.
With IVT Ground Source Heat Pumps, every 1 kW of input energy (electricity) is converted into an average of 4.5 kW of output energy or heat (i.e. a Coefficient of Performance or COP of 4.5 : 1), making it more than 4.5 times as efficient as conventional boilers, and a natural choice for low cost heating and hot water.
IVT Ground Source Heat Pumps are ideal for use in a variety of house sizes or styles, and are designed to work perfectly to provide hot water to either traditional radiators or underfloor heating systems.
